We offer canine care in our home, or pet care in your own home, whichever suits your needs ! Our home is situated within a few mins walk to local trails as well as the beach, and we have a 1/4 acre fenced yard for extra play time! 

OVERNIGHT VACATION CARE FOR YOUR DOG
Head out on vacation and we will keep your dogs happy and healthy until your return:

  1. Door-to-door pick up & drop off of your dog(s) if required.

  2. Stay in a clean, pet-friendly, dog-proofed home with a fenced yard.

  3. Ample room for dogs to play both in and out.

  4. Dogs have access to furniture, crates & beds if they desire.

  5. Activities and daily dog walks on local trails & beach.

  6. Toys to play with, bones to chew or bring your own favorites.

  7. Around the clock supervision by adult dog caregivers.

  8. Email you updates & photos of your dog while you are away.

  9. Also able to offer great sitters for dog care in YOUR home.

 

DOGGIE DAY TRIPS
If your dog loves to swim, run, hike in the woods, and explore, exercise is a great way to expend extra energy and deter destructive behavior:

  1. Visit parks with your dog

  2. Dogs go on group hikes on Shuswap trails

  3. Dog beach or river day trips in groups

  4. Great doggy socialization

OUR HAPPY HOUND SERVICES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING
Head out on vacation and we will keep your dogs happy and healthy until your return:

  1. Dog play time

  2. Replacing fresh water

  3. Feeding (you are required to provide your pet’s food)

  4. Administering medications

  5. Cleaning up pet’s messes

  6. Call or email anytime 24/7 to check on your pet

  7. Basic grooming. We can recommend wonderful groomers in the Salmon Arm area

  8. Recommend excellent local veterinarians

  9. Changing/washing bedding, sweaters, rain gear as needed

If you feel the type of service we offer isn’t suited for your dog, we are happy to come up with an alternative plan.

For example, if your dog doesn’t seem comfortable staying away from home, we will do our best to come up with in-home, overnight dog care at your residence. Or if your dog is not getting along with other dogs, we will arrange for private walks to meet their special needs.

We adore ALL dogs, and embrace their unique personalities, characteristics, and challenges!

Our Home
We have a restored Victorian style home situated on a fully fenced 1/4 acre within mins to great hiking trails and the dog beach on Shuswap Lake.
The house is dog proof and has various blankets, beds and crates to suit your canines individual down- time needs.
Our yard is dog friendly, with grass and rock areas, as well as a pond ( for the water hounds ).
We have 2 separate living areas to accommodate dogs that may have socialization issues as well.
We also supply home made doggy treats which are made with organic ingredients and baked weekly - these are always well received :).
